Marketing and Brand Director

Summary of Role:

The Marketing and Brand Director, reports directly to the President and CEO and is responsible for managing brand-compliant digital content and platforms, public relations and social media content, and strategy for current and new FoodCycler products. This position will have one direct report, the Social Media and Content Manager. The incumbent will be passionate about our products and play an important part in establishing the voice and brand of FoodCycler to the external community. The ability to effectively interpret the voice of our brand and value proposition is at the heart of this role. Understanding how to identify audiences, create engaging content, and track results are critical for our success. This role will work closely with our internal cross-functional teams to ensure our content is fresh, relevant, and on point against industry benchmarks.


The incumbent will have experience with brand messaging, customer communications, copywriting, content creation, analytics, and social media best practices. The purpose of this role is to build broader strategies and programs that help expand our reach, increase brand awareness, drive traffic to our FoodCycler website and support our team to create meaningful engagements with prospects and customers. Working with Food Cycler team members including, the business development teams, the Marketing and Brand Director will be tasked with promoting product features and improvements and highlighting our focus on quality, and ease of use for all our products. This role ensures that our FoodCycler brand highlights our appealing, high-quality, environmentally sound products that are second to none.

What You Will Do:

We are looking for someone who is passionate about Brand Management and Marketing our well-respected products. You will develop our brand strategies, promote brand growth and expansion, implement brand plans, and use a variety of data to drive volume and profitability. You will be working with our internal teams to help understand our current client needs, conduct market research, handle public relations and support our plans for future product lines and services. We need you to keep up to date on our current technology and product competition to maintain our competitive advantage in the marketplace.


You will develop and project manage marketing campaigns that drive market growth. These initiatives and activities include campaigns (print, web, social media, broadcast, etc.), events, corporate responsibility programs, and sponsorships. You will direct our marketing research to formulate comprehensive marketing strategies. This means you will oversee the marketing of products, product lines, and services in their entirety, from research and development through sales. This includes oversight of advertising for the products or services including internet, social media platforms, and traditional media advertising campaigns. You will develop promotional activities via social media channels to drive sales and build market credibility. We need you to manage and oversee the planning of trade show events, with support from other business units. You will support the OEM promotional calendar

What We Are Looking For:

You will have the following:

  • An undergraduate degree (3-year college or university) in Marketing, Brand Management, Advertising, Business, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in marketing, building brand management campaigns or related equivalent experience/education will be considered.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Experience in high volume consumer products development and manufacturing

  • Prior experience in social media branding/advertising campaigns, copywriting experience, experience working with paid ads and running paid ad campaigns

  • Experience in content or search engine marketing including social media analytics and metrics tracking

  • Must be legally entitled to work and live in Canada.

The following qualifications would be an asset:

  • Certification in Facebook marketing or other social media platforms

  • Experience with website development

  • Experience with product-based marketing


Beneficial/soft qualifications/skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey information in a clear, focused and concise manner.

  • Understanding of storytelling approach in marketing

  • Understanding of customer thinking and UI design principles and must be able to present technical information in business-friendly and user-friendly language to non-technical audiences.

  • Creative mindset, and the ability to organize effectively and have strong attention to detail

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated diplomacy and professionalism.

  • Interest in developing technical skills through both internal and external training.

  • Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques.

  • Active social media presence, (influencer is a plus)

  • Able to convert product details into viable content marketing strategies

Operations Coordinator

Summary of Role:

The Operations Coordinator, reporting to the Director of Operations, will be responsible for assisting with the management of the organization’s daily operational activities and administrative tasks. Such tasks include but are not limited to coordinating customer orders from the point of purchase to the receipt of goods. Additionally, you will be responsible for all document control, along with the control and management of all inventory. This role requires a person who is proactive, independent, and someone who can easily adapt and cope with the ever-changing demands and situations that occur on the job.

What You Will Do:

You will be responsible for coordinating all customer orders from the point of purchase to the time of arrival. These tasks include but are not limited to creating and submitting all purchase orders to contract manufacturers, creating customer sales orders, coordinating the production and shipping schedule, processing the needed invoices, and tracking order shipments with support from the Logistics Specialist. Additionally, you will be accountable for document control, consisting of controlling and managing all CRM platforms, working with the Finance team to document and flow chart all critical operational processes, and ensuring our used costing tool is updated and optimized for the use of the Sales department. Finally, you will be responsible for inventory control, management, and transfers, with tasks including conducting monthly inventory control, reporting and reconciling with the use of the accounting system, along with conducting warranty control and reporting on a monthly basis. You will be a key member of the operations team to ensure that the organization’s daily operational activities and administrative tasks are running as smoothly as possible.

What We Are Looking For:

You will have a post-secondary degree or diploma in operations, supply chain management, or a related field. As well, you will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in progressive operations, production, engineering, product management, or supply chain management. You have proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
